The following projects represent a selection of MHAC's accessibility consulting experience for public entities and communities.
Longmont, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC is conducting a comprehensive ADA assessment of City facilities, 16 parks, and approximately 100 miles of public right-of-way, including exterior routes, transit stops, parking, and recreation facilities and services. MHAC has also developed 16 ADA policies and conducted an accessibility audit of the City’s website. The project includes public outreach to gather community input on the ADA Transition Plan.
Evans, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan

Bennett, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC completed a comprehensive ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for the Town of Bennett, including assessments of 13 facilities, 9 parks, 45 streets, and 6 shared-use paths. The project included PROWAG and website accessibility assessments, cost estimates, prioritization, and public outreach.
Estes Park, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC performed an ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for the Town of Estes Park, including assessments of 11 facilities, 13 parks, and 59 miles of public right-of-way. The project included cost estimates for barrier removal, barrier removal prioritization, public outreach, and completion of a formal ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.
Fountain, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC has conducted ADA assessments of City facilities, 30 bus stops for Fountain Municipal Transit, and 2,000 City curb ramps. MHAC is currently developing the City’s ADA Transition Plan and will conduct public outreach as part of the process. MHAC also provides ongoing ADA and public right-of-way consulting for barrier removal projects and new developments.
Federal Heights, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC completed a comprehensive ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for the City of Federal Heights, including a review of City programs, policies, and procedures; accessibility assessments of City facilities, parks, and 44 miles of public right-of-way; cost estimates and prioritization for barrier removal; public outreach; and completion of the formal ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.
Cripple Creek, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC evaluated City policies and procedures, 12 City facilities, and one park, along with conducting a PROWAG assessment of approximately 8 miles of public right-of-way.
Winter Park, CO
ADA Accessibility Assessments
MHAC performed ADA assessments of four parks, Town Hall and Public Works facilities, the Rendezvous Event Center, and the Town’s Transit Facility. MHAC continues to provide on-call ADA consulting and has also completed an ADA architectural plan review for a new park.
Paonia, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC evaluated Town policies, programs, activities, and services; assessed 13 Town facilities and parks; and conducted a PROWAG assessment of approximately 7 miles of Town streets. MHAC also developed 16 ADA policies, facilitated public outreach, and provided staff training on accessibility and ADA Transition Plan implementation, including ADA field investigations, ArcGIS mapping, and maintenance of the ADA Transition Plan Database.
Española, NM
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC completed a comprehensive ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for the City of Española, including assessments of 21 City facilities, 5 parks, and 34 miles of public right-of-way. The project included a review of City programs, policies, and procedures; cost estimates and prioritization for barrier removal; public outreach; GIS integration; and completion of the formal ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan.
Mountain View, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC reviewed Town programs, activities, and services for ADA compliance; evaluated and developed ADA policies; and conducted public outreach. The project also included ADA assessments of Town facilities and a PROWAG assessment of the Town’s public right-of-way.
Edgewater, CO
ADA Self-evaluation and Transition Plan
MHAC completed an ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan for the City of Edgewater, including an evaluation of City ADA policies and practices, an accessibility assessment of 30 miles of public right-of-way, and an ADA survey of the Edgewater Civic Center. MHAC provided cost estimates and prioritization for barrier removal and facilitated public outreach before finalizing the ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan. MHAC continues to provide on-call ADA and public right-of-way consulting for barrier removal projects and new developments.
